Stand Bold. Stand Tall.

by | Jan 10, 2024 | Poetry

My idea is not the ideal
Although I can never be missed
My first thought is to always conceal
Yet, I can’t because these laws exist
I stand where most women don’t
Most women are below me
So I tried to change and put myself in a different font.
I still can not find myself free
“Stand Bold Stand Tall” They shout
Yet they are not talking with their heart
Only their mouths
“You are Different”
So am I dismissed?
I will never be the equivalent
So I am in conflict
With the laws of society
So I will stand
I will stand and never preach
Because beauty is selective
A Selective that is not given to each
