Dragpath

by | Sep 28, 2026 | Poetry

Etched into the surface forever
Silent cries for help that never get answered
Truly trying to show how miserable you are
Deep wounds slowly appear on your arms
Dragging their way across your body
Thighs, hips, calves, chest.
A dragpath ignored and never found
Electrifying ripples down your spine
Feeling the cold metal against your skin once again
Evidence is everywhere of the vulnerability you face
A dragpath you left there on purpose
You will carry it to your grave, never forgetting those deadly days
Etched into your memory, never leaving and always playing like a bad horror movie
The dragpath you scarred into your flesh forever.
