Meet the people who shape Springfire. The 2026–2027 staff selects, edits, designs, and publishes writing, art, research, and media from across the Rock Hill High School community.

Chief Editor

Adam Nannini

Boss Hog

Mr. Nannini came to Rock Hill High School in 2021. He was granted the Creative Writing teacher position, and with it, came the responsibity of Springfire Magazine. It was a print magazine before, but he sought to expand the readership, and he made the magazine a digital media platform. Since then, readership has grown, his team of underlings at Springfire Club have become more and more … interesting, and the commercials are at another level.

Ash Evans

Art & Design

Hello! I am Ash, and I do graphic design for Springfire. The club has become a third home for me, a place to be my truest self with a bunch of people who share the same passion as me. I have the superpower of doing everything right of the first try!

Henry Finn

Creative Coordinator

Hi! I’m Henry Finn. I originally joined Springfire Magazine when my sister told me about it in my freshman year back in late 2024. After watching the recording of a trailer, I fell in love with the club and what it stands for. I believe the writing of students is something that should be public for all to see! In our meetings, I want to try to talk to everyone at least once and make sure everyone feels as if their voice is heard/ My superpower is growing hair #493 on my right arm longer than the rest.

Kate Fox

Chief Director of Whimsy

Hey! I’m Kate and I work for the Springfire Magazine as the self-appointed chief director of whimsy. I took Creative Writing with Mr. Nannani and decided to join Springfire club too. One day I will submit a full piece to Springfire. Just you wait.

A. Elliott Johnson

8-bit composer

I go by Elliott(tttttt, ect.) I’m pretty open about being transgender FtM, and a Hellenic polytheist, being I follow the Greek gods. Springfire for me is like a nice space to talk to people + friends similar to me, and in the club I hope to help however I can with productions or really anything I’m able to! As for my superpower, I think the radiation made me a medical mystery.

Emile Lambert

Vibes Coach

Wazzzuppp! I’m Emile, and I am a poet and story writer who frequently writes about mental health topics and is very inspired by Edgar Allan Poe. I am very open to talk about anything and everything even if it’s strange or upsetting. I am also a worshipper of the Hellenistic and Nordic gods Loki and Aphrodite. As always, love yourself, and don’t forget writing is always better than silence.

Ellie Lathrop

Assistant Web Designer

I’m the Assistant Web Designer for Springfire. After having a few pieces of mine published on Springfire, I started attending the club meetings in my junior year, and I still really enjoy it! My special power is crying bubbles instead of tears, but you’d never know because I’m #2tough2cry.

Ethan Manning

Game Tester

I’m the game tester for Springfire’s games I just try and break the game while always keeping the high score (without cheating). I’m very new to Springfire and will start attending the meetings on Wednesday 9/16 and I’m excited to meet new people and make new friends. My superpower is being naturally good at every video game I touch.

Jenna Nypaver

Social Media

Hello! My name is Jenna Nypaver. I’m one of the social media managers for Springfire Magazine. I joined Springfire last year through someone I knew, and it’s been one of the most welcoming and friendly groups I have ever been part of. I truly love the many opportunities this magazine gives students to grow and create. As for my superpower, I would say it’s to shoot rainbows and sunshine out of my pores.

Shreeya Patel

AI Representative

I am Shreeya Patel. I joined SpringeFire in my sophomore year due to the people and the community built by Mr. Nannini. This community made me feel welcome and open to show off student works and creativity on this website. I hold this club close to my heart even now in my senior year due to the actively growing community we have created and will continue to show through the art and talent of Rock HIll High students. This definitely, totally, absolutely, isn’t AI at all, em-dash.

La’Reya Ramirez

Art & Design

Hi I’m La’Reya! I joined Springfire my junior year, though I’ve been turning in pieces since freshman year because Mr. Nannini wouldn’t shut up about not having enough submissions (-_-). I enjoy torturing myself by suffering creatively twice (T3T) I love writing, drawing, and food. Springfire has been a great outlet to relinquish stress from classes, and it lets my work be seen.

Cai Ray

Social Media

Heya!!! My name is Catherine (Cai) Ray and I am one of the social media managers for Springfire Magazine on Instagram. Springfire is an especially fun club for me since it tends to focus on student oriented work and creative writing. I really enjoy the people in the club, and it’s really helpful to get to know people similar to you in the school. Since I am one of the social media managers, I usually edit videos or help design a lot of the posts on the Instagram page, while my partner focuses on the design of all our posts. My superpower is probably my giga strength since I chug down my signature protein shakes (courtesy of Mr. Nannini’s cat emporium, of course).

Daniel Smith

Head Chef

I’m Daniel Smith, and I joined Springfire my junior because it push my creativity. I was always afraid of showing my creativity when I was younger, but when growing up I decided to be more open and showcase my creativity in our school’s magazine. I thank Mr. Nananni’s welcomeness and kindness for Springfire. Joining Springfire changed my life, and it can changes yours if you join now!

Sariyah Terry

Art & Design

My name is Sariyah Terry, and I am a senior with a big imagination. I’m often on a super side quest or wacky adventure, which is actually how I found myself in Springfire Magazine! I have big dreams and superb ideas that I want to make real. Springfire is the perfect way to spread creativity, find community, and share ideas. My power is bubble creation because they bring joy, and who doesn’t love a bit fun that pops?
