Life’s Kingdom, love’s soul, all are beginning to take their toll.
Severe exhaust and powers lost,
Is this for which my life was tossed?
I took an oath and made a promise never to be broken.
A book and pain,
that’s all I’ve got to show,
along with a life that is too very slow.
The gift came and went
like a cool Fall breeze, and at my heart, the powers began to tease.
It pulled and yeared
to save the life,
but humankind wasn’t ready and wouldn’t sacrifice.
Hyper sapiens live to save,
to preserve that life
for which I am still willing to sacrifice my own.
