Ode to Lotion

You glisten on my skin
You mitigate my cracked exterior
But only for a while
You are like an addiction
I cannot escape you
But I have no choice
Without you I am a desert
Water shatters my shell unfortunately
You alleviate that curse
Your scent makes it all the more better
I find serenity using you
Water is dry
I much rather talk to you
