Tiny Sun
Living in my yard
Tiny suns
Living in my garden
Weed that take from my flower’s
Home
Weed that invite pests to chew on my
Dazzling ruby roses.
How beautiful you are,
With thousands of petals that mimic
The radiant rays of the ever-burning
Sun.
With thousands of petals that
Mimic golden lions, lying in my yard.
With thousands of petals that open wide–
Wider than any umbrella.
Dandelions with puffs of beautiful white,
White that signifies new life,
Pure white- like a beautiful
Dove.
Oh how your beautiful white dances in the wind
As your seeds fly
far to their new home.
Spreading tiny suns wherever they land.
Little white seeds that carry a child’s
Wish.
Seeds that bloom into
Tiny suns.
Suns that might wow another,
Suns that might be a flower
Rather than a weed to another.
