I got the idea for the piece when I was in my art class. We were doing little thumbnail sketches with different line weights. I doodled something in the same vein as the final product, but rather crude. After that class, I couldn’t get the concept out of my head. I tried to draw it again, but I was unable to make the dripping effect looking right. What eventually ended up working was studying the way the effect was done in the show “The Summer Hikaru Died”.
