The warm summer evening
From the water where we were swimming
By the fire the stories we told
The crickets and mosquitoes warned off the cold
At night, various games we would play
Not thinking of the future school days
Slowly but surely it would come to an end
Sadly we would say bye to our friends
Knowing the loneliness would be too much
We would vow to write and keep in touch
Our last good-byes we would say with cheer
Have a good life and see you next year
